To all our members,
I (Kensei), have decided to renovate the site, which has remained dead since our head Administrator, Baraku, went absent. There will be a new set of rules, a new skin, new profile formats...
Basically, we're starting the site over.
But don't be alarmed. For those of you who choose to return, you will not have to rewrite your application, or change it to the present system. Your applications are still there, resting in the Filing Cabinet -- feel free and ask the Staff to repost it if it has already been approved, or ask them to read over the application and approve it, then move it to the Approved sub-boards.
If you do not wish to roleplay on the site any longer, or the renovation does not appeal to you, all you have to do is tell the Staff in a PM ; your account will be removed without any questions.
We apologize for any inconveniences, and thank you all for your patience and cooperation.

Kensei is incredibly short, averaging about 120 to 130 centimeters. He is also quite light for his age. He enjoys wearing traditional Japanese clothing, even when attending ceremonies or going to school. He has long, white hair that almost scrapes the floor. His eyes are usually a dichromatic color, one brown and one purple, until he takes over completely; if he does this, both his eyes turn purple. Kensei also has his Hollow Mask, but it is now nothing more than an empty shell; he summons it with a snap of his fingers, and he usually lets it rest on the side of his head, but when serious can don the mask, increasing his powers. The mask itself is chibified. He has two pointed teeth that tend to stick out a little, but nothing else besides. He sometimes cosplays as V.V....and mysteriously gets away with it. Hooray.

- Kensei acts like a 10-year-old...most of the time. He puts -desu. or -desuka? at the end of most of his sentences. However, what he says is different from what he thinks. A running gag is that Kensei will cosplay as an albino Conan...whose situations are pretty similar. He sees his body as his own, and feels no remorse for his actions. He hates being ordered as well as ordering others. He tends to commit crimes, from pickpocketing to grand larsony. He is quite flighty, and will chase a butterfly instead of attacking the foe right in front of him if he decides the butterfly is more interesting. He is exremely self-confident, as well as outgoing. He is able to correctly analyze people's skills/personalities. A running gag is that Kensei is greatly weakened if he sees a large sum of money; while his incredible reiatsu will block most physical attacks, he tends to bleed profusely if hit right after he is given money. He will also go to great lengths to get money, to the point he sells his friend to the devil because he told Kensei he would given him 150 million yen. He remains, however, incapable of controlling himself, and most of the money tends to disappear within a day.

Skills:
Vast Spiritual Energy: Kensei, without putting any real effort into it, can limit the movement of people of at least Seated Officer-level by just facing the direction they are. To most the vast amount of Reiryoku takes the form of a silver, bird-like aura around Kensei. His spiritual pressure seems to be not cold nor hot, but stifling, as if the very air was nonexistent and the opponent could not breath. It would appear that the spiritual power, when released by Kensei, can affect the surrounding area destructively. Unlike people with this amount of power, Kensei has masterful control over his spiritual energy, and can easily subdue his own powers. His control is so great that he can walk in enemy territory without being detected. He sometimes uses this to comical effect.
Reiryoku Absorption: In Kensei's case, he has "purged" himself of his Hollow, leaving him exponentially powerful than before...but as he currently has half a soul and has taken possession of another body, his powers are again greatly decreased. He is, however, able to absorb spiritual power from his own body or other sources, including even his opponents; with this newfound power he can attack the other people, or futher his grip on the body, making him resilient to being pulled out from his body, as well as rebuilding his original soul from inside.
Master Swordsmanship Specialist: Even when Kensei was the leader of the Vizards, he had tremendous skills in the use of his Zanpakuto, Ginhou. Even when the blade itself was destroyed, Kensei is able to use several other created weapons in combat situations, the most notable being the spiked chains he hides in his sleeves. In battle he is highly proficient, and fights with seemingly no effort. He can easily defeat and kill most Arrancar/Shinigami below Lieutenant level, who are supposed to be stronger than a 10-year-old child. In combat, he isn't the least bit taken back by his opponent's abilities, and maintains a poker face at all times.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combat Specialist: Even when he is quite physically weak [as a 10-year-old], Kensei is capable of taking down foes three~five times his own size...with his bare hands. He is skilled in most areas of hakuda, as well as its applications.
Enhanced Endurance: Kensei, despite his fragile body, can fight efficiently even after taking several fatal blows.
Enhanced Strength: Kensei is able to lift a car with a hand, mainly because of his spiritual energy's effects.
Hollow Mask: He has a chibified Hollow mask, that seems to have watered-down effects.
Flash Steps Expert: Because, once Kensei lost his Zanpakuto, he lost all his Shinigami skills, he has developed a similar technique, which he had dubbed the "Lightning-Speed Flash" [Raisoku Senkou], which fuctions like the Shinigami's Shunpo but requires less effort and creates a miniature sonic boom, which affects the nearby area. He is able to match the speed of Captain-level opponents in flight.
Expert Strategist & Tactician: Because of his physical limits, Kensei has adopted the saying "live wisely". He has repeatedly shown great instincts and intuition in battle. He is generally aware of everything in his presence and also able to see through most deceptions. Overall, Kensei is a great battle strategist, showing great instincts against incoming danger.

- This place I'm facing...is it Heaven? or is it Hell?
After the epic battle with Taishi, Kensei literally went to Hell. It wasn't a bad trip -- if you ignored the fact that the main method of transportation was being impaled on a fifty-foot long spear wielded by a stupidly large guard. It looked like something that would come out in a video game...but it wasn't. And that was the thing that dragged Kensei down to the deepest depths of Hell.
Now many people -- Humans and Souls alike -- wonder what it is like down in Hell. Is it a place where souls are destroyed, or are they tormented forever inside their deepest fears and secrets? Too bad for Kensei, it was the latter...the first choice would have been less painful. He was thrown into a cell with nothing in it. The walls seemed nigh-indestructible, and there was this lingering hunger...the hunger for souls. No food, no water, and no Zanpakuto to comfort him, Kensei spent several lonely days inside his prison. After a few days...There. I told you what would happen, didn't I? And you just didn't listen, did you? How many times do I have to tell you? It's not 'kill kill kill' because I want you to, but it's 'kill kill kill' because it's the best way for you to regain power! You were too focused on your so-called 'ethics' and 'code' that you didn't even bother to train your powers? Wasn't that what I was telling you ever since you were kicked out of your palace by your subordinate? Huh?! ...it was his Inner Hollow. He had to appear then and there. And every day the Hollow would start by mentally kicking Kensei awake, and hold long, long rebukes inside the Zanpakuto world. And Kensei couldn't do anything but listen. He hadn't enough strength to defeat his duplicate. Not right now, anyways. But he steadily reserved his own spiritual power for his personal use.
The day had come. About a week or so [as he presumed] since he had been dragged unwillingly to that stinking place. He faced his Hollow inside his perverted Zanpakuto world. The pristine mountains had turned a dirty color, and the environment was worsening by the second. With the Zanpakuto out of the way, the Hollow had gained control over the inner world and used it as he liked. And now you're trying to kill me? Are you bat-f***ing insane?! But if you want to die so much...I'll rip you apart and eat your soul! The Hollow had the superior hand -- retaining some parts of a black Ginhou, it launched several Shikai attacks at Kensei. He himself managed to evade most of them with Shunpos, but that quickly depleted his reserves. Going for the ultimatum, he launched himself at the Hollow. Taken aback by this short burst of rage that was unlikely to come from a guy such as Kensei, the Hollow faltered; taking the opportunity, Kensei used hand-to-hand combat to cut off the head of his Hollow. Almost instantly waves of energy poured from his body -- it was like a computer meltdown. Sweating, finally having gained consciousness, Kensei staggered to the wall and sat down, apparently being destroyed by his own reiatsu. Well, goodbye, world... His body was starting to disentegrate. Guess this is the end for me...Miyuka...Taishi...Baraku... And at that point, the walls around him exploded.
It appears that there was a deux ex machina, created by some upper hand, that shook the world. Or maybe it was just Kensei's unreleased spiritual powers. Anyhow, the waves after waves of his reiatsu had battered the walls, which were actually illusions; there were no walls. They were the walls around his heart, the walls of mistrust and repression that Kensei had built to combat the Hollow inside of him. Now that monster having died, he was able to see the world for what it was, and noticed an empty plane, filled with weeping and grieving Hollows, men and women, who had committed various crimes in life. They were too, absorbed in their own nightmares. He was probably the first one to have broken out of his cell, as well as the first one to purify himself by killing his own Hollow. But both left serious scars on his body -- it was disentegrating. Already he felt his foot starting to fall apart, and knew time would be up if he continued like this. He decided to try and escape from Hell itself. No voice in his head to try and stop him, he ran across the fields -- sometimes using Shunpo, sometimes falling down because of the loss of a foot -- and found the guardian. It was standing, silently, looking at the gate solemnly. Kensei waited. Suddenly, the gate sprang into motion; it opened, showing a different world, a different environment. And out stretched the Guardian's spear, pulling in the next unlucky victim. Kensei took the time to escape. He was free.
That is...in Hawaii, almost 6205 kilometers away from Karakura town, with a body that was soon to turn into dust. Was this Hell...or Heaven?Youth is just a cold, isn't it?
Aaron MacDermot. A boy born on December 19th, in London, England. To two ordinary parents, who lead middle-class lives. He lived an ordinary life in an ordinary house on an ordinary street in an ordinary city in an ordinary country in an ordinary world. His parents had no spiritual powers. They could not see ghosts, they could not feel the Pluses and Hollows on the streets right next to them. But Aaron could. A short, underdeveloped and shy boy, Aaron didn't do well in preschool. Incredibly shy, he felt he lacked things that other boys of his age had, but gained one thing that others lacked -- the ability to see ghosts. Soon it was not people, but Pluses that surrounded Aaron. Pleasured by the company of the human boy, many spirits often played with him, even when his parents were out to work or even in his preschool. He would talk endless hours with what seemed like empty air. His teacher recommended for him to take a break from school -- it was "the stress affecting him". Aaron's parents took the new summer vacation to take their only son to Hawaii for a change. They had relatives there, and would be able to even live there. Anything, they agreed, that would let Aaron associate with other boys is okay. Even these drastic measures could very well increase his self-esteem, and let him open his heart to others. Aaron followed his parents, by ship, to Hawaii.
Hawaii. The land of tropical islands. Honolulu. Palm trees. Beaches, bikinis, and tourists from around the world. Also, home to the tens of thousands of souls that co-existed with real people. Aaron played joyfully...with the Pluses around him. He would run around, playing tag or building sand castles or doing other childish things with their protection. At night they would tell him stories of black-clothed men with swords, called Shinigami, and masked devils called Hollows, and their fight. Once a particularly old man told him a story about a king. It wasn't just any king -- it was the king of the Hollows. It was a big monster, with an appetite to match. Every day it would come to their world and eat the souls of every naughty boy in the neighborhood. The geezer even claimed the final disease Moses struck on Egypt was actually this king's doing. "And the most important thing to remember, child," the grandfather would say, "is to know that the king will not attack good little boys, who play when the sun is out and sleep when the sun is down." Gah. All lies. But at least those were the kind of tales Aaron remembers, not soppy little skits about mermaids and princesses and beasts and glass shoes and whatnot. His parents were pleased that Aaron seemed to be making progress. He seemed to be more active in his new school, as well as out of it. It made them happy, and they considered not going back to England at all. But they needed to get back to work. So after two months, they told a tanned Aaron they were leaving for London the next day. And then they all went to sleep.
The next day, Aaron was strolling down the beach when he fould a corpse. Calling for help, he tried to lift the man only to find that he was immaterial -- nonexistant. And no-one took notice of the boy dragging an invisible object towards them. They all thought it was a joke, and laughed.My trembling feet remember too well...that inevitability.
"... ... ..."
The man struggled to speak. Aaron bent down to listen.
"...boy. Can you see me?"
With parched lips, the man was whispering with a hoarse voice. Aaron first got him a glass of water from a nearby stand, and tipped it gently to let the man drink it. The breathing easened, and the shoulders relaxed...but it didn't help to stop the man from decaying. For indeed, the man was already half a body. The legs were gone and could not be seen. Aaron tried to get the man to the hospital, but the stranger refused.
"I don't need...any medical attention...but...could you do me a favor?"
Aaron bent down, and Kensei helped himself up.
"Will you follow me, a strange soul you just met on the streets, to Hell and back?"
Confused, Aaron nodded.
"Really? Will you help me?"
He nodded, fervently.
"Thank you. My name is Kensei Tsuyameku. Nice to meet you...now...do what exactly what I tell you to do."
With that Kensei lowered his hand on the boys eyes, covering his view. Soon Aaron fell into the sweet darkness of sleep.
"...now..."I act strong because there is someone stronger out there.
"...hee hee...hee..."
A dirty, lone kid was walking down the streets of a midnight village. He was headed straight for the docks...a villager stopped him just before his destination. "Hey, kid. It's dangerous to be walking alone in the - huh?" Under the lamplight, the child's features were more highlighted; dichromatic eyes, one a natural brown and another a shocking purple; long, white hair hat flooded down the back of the boy. But more shocking was the face -- all-knowing, impenetrable darkness filled the villager's mind. "I finally have a body...wonder what I can do with it?" The boy walked towards the man, staggering slightly. Faced with unknown terror, the man first took several steps backwards, before breaking into full flight. He had to tell the police. He had to get to the police sta- "Hold on. I'm not finished with you yet, human." Yes...this is all a dream...tomorrow I'll wake up in my own home...I have work tomorrow, I should wake up from this horrible, horrible dream... The boy stretched out his arms, and the last thing the man remembered were thick chains, stretching out to embrace him, and pull him into intoxicating darkness. It felt so sweet...and in the far distance, an unknown horror that seemed surreal spoke slowly. "Rest in peace."An evil flower that sprouted from love...
In the morning the village was in an uproar. The local fisher had been killed, and a tourist's son had mysteriously gone missing. Posters were pasted on every bit of spare wall, and the international news cast were notified. Before the casts came, the parents of one Aaron MacDermot stood in the middle of several comforting villagers. It must have been a shock for them, the villagers said, and they would do all they can to bring back the kidnapped boy and arrest the kidnapper. In a different world, however, Kensei was aboard a ship. A large freight cargo, the Morning Flower, left the docks of the village under night. Scheduled to arrive in Japan within a couple of days, it was loaded with steel boxes. Kensei snuggled inside, intent on going back to Japan. But then...this body was hard to manipulate. He couldn't use too much of his reiatsu in fear of breaking it completely, and he had just killed another soul and possessed its body, using a combination of various Kido as well as Hollow abilities. By God, the process hurt. Rubbing his aching, 10-year-old shoulder, Kensei looked at the ceiling of the place. He had never been fond of boats. Not when he was back at Soul Society, not in Hueco Mundo, and certainly not now. With that he fell slightly asleep, finally closing his eyes. He hadn't even a wink of sleep for the last two weeks or so, and he slept peacefully.
In the morning, Kensei hurried to make a plan when he got to Japan. Even in the modernized world, there are ways of playing on the human conscious to get where one wants. He intended to go to Karakura Town, where he could enter his private quarters [he knew he had the key], and find protection with the Karakura High's Dean, an old friend. He sighed. Apparently the real world is just as hard to live in as Hell. He decided he had better get a new name...an alias. Going around as a 10-year-old Kensei would be very dangerous, as he was still WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE by both Soul Society and Hueco Mundo...though the latter would probably give up their search, as they suspected they had killed the previous leader. He looked at the walls, and still pondering, decided on "Azanagi" as his first name. The name of the first Japanese God. Azanagi. It suited him fine. Didn't he just return from Hell...and wasn't this denial of death the immortality all Gods have? For his last name he needed a little more time. Kensei had better think of something good, or...I'll just think of a random name. And thus was Azanagi Mikage, previously Aaron MacDermot, a lost English child, and previously Kensei Tsuyameku, a wanted criminal by the whole of Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, born....I'll go on without holding anything.
"Azanagi" eventually ended up on the shore. Using his agility, Kensei managed to scurry off the ship before anyone noticed he was on it. It was Tokyo. Closer to Karakura than he had expected, he first went to the public baths to relieve himself of the dirt he had accumulated. The fact he had a child's body annoyed him; his actions were restricted. Still it felt good drinking coffee milk while watching the new drama, even if one was getting stares from everyone around. It was a new story, about some rundown orchestra in a university. Then the main character, a rough musician, creates the most splendid music. Kensei loved the show. After he felt he had enough caffeine for his little body, he dressed in a child's kimono, and left quickly. His white hair and purple eyes easily caught the attention of others around him...but he ignored them too. Stopping at a bus, he rode it to Karakura town. Children did not have to pay. So this form actually comes in useful sometimes, thought Kensei as he watched familiar terrain whiz outside the window. <> With that Kensei hopped off the platform, intent on...something. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do. Perhaps he would go rest some more...yes, that was it. He needed his beauty sleep. Mumbling like a middle-aged man, the 10-year-old kid scratched his head and left across the dimly-lit streets of Karakura, to his apartment. Hopefully the room was still there. And then...

I had a [long] talk with Monty about the whole aspect of Hell, and the possibility of Kensei returning from the dead and living as a parasitic being that has a simbiotic relationship with God-knows-what...blah. CONCLUSION: Stop talking about it, or I will fry my own brain XD
